Who is responsible
Responsible for this app and this website is the operator of Numa, reachable at numa@bognar.net.
What is stored
Numa stores your calculations as .numa documents on your device or, if you keep them there, in your iCloud Drive. iCloud Drive is Apple’s service, not ours; we have no access to it. Settings and the most recently downloaded exchange rates stay on the device only.
- No account, no identifier, no ads, no analytics, no tracking.
- We run no server that receives data from you.
Network: exchange rates
Numa makes exactly one kind of network request: when you convert currencies, the app downloads the European Central Bank reference rates through the free Frankfurter API (api.frankfurter.dev). This happens at most every 12 hours and only when you use currencies.
The request is a standard HTTPS request. It contains no personal data, no calculations and no identifier. As with any connection on the internet, the service sees your IP address. The downloaded rates are stored on the device and work offline afterwards.
Camera and photos
When you capture numbers with the camera or from a photo, Numa recognises the text on the device (Live Text). The images never leave the device and are not stored.
No third parties
Numa contains no third-party software development kits (SDKs), so no advertising, analytics or tracking services.
This website
The website is static and sets no cookies. The host (Cloudflare) processes technical connection data when you visit.
Your rights
Since we store no data about you, there is nothing to inspect or delete on our side. You delete your documents yourself in the Files app.
Legal basis
The app and this website are governed by the Swiss Data Protection Act (revFADP) and, where applicable, the GDPR.
Changes
If something changes, it appears here with a new date.
